Cost of Psychological Services with Robert Mitchell in Belmont California

The cost for service is $250.00 for a 50 minute session. Longer sessions are charged on a prorated basis. Payment is made at the beginning of each session.

Yes, I accept major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, AMEX, and Discover) as well as checks or cash.

Do you take Insurance?

I am not in network with any insurance company. I am what is considered an Out-of-Network Provider which means that you will be responsible for payment at time of service, but you may be entitled to some compensation from your insurance provider. Many insurance companies offer some provision for the use of out-of-network providers. If you wish to know the extent of your coverage, then I suggest you contact your provider and ask how much they will reimburse for "mental health services with an out-of-network provider." They may need the following infomration to answer:

For Couples Therapy:
CPT Code: 90847
Likely Diagnosis: Z63.0 - Problems in relationship with spouse or partner (is most likely diagnosis but others may arise as well)

For Individual Therapy:
CPT Code: 90837
Likely Diagnosis: ? (Unkown. I cannot diagnose until time of evaluation)

If you elect to come in for services, then at the end of the month I will provide you with a Super Bill Statement which has all the above information for you to submit to your provider.

Do you offer reduced or sliding scale fees?

For the most part no I do not. There are exceptions, but they are rare. If you are experiencing financial difficulties, I will be happy to speak to you and suggest some not-for-profit organizations that offer low-cost counseling to those in need.
